Moscow is the capital of Russia that stretched on "seven hills", on the Moskva River banks. Hundreds of roads and ways are crossed in this megalopolis. Nine railway stations, six airports and three river ports form the main transport hub of the country and contribute to active economic growth.

The history of Moscow started almost 900 years ago. During this period an ordinary town in the Suzdal Princedom became the capital of Russia and one of the world's biggest megacities.

Nowadays Moscow is a modern city strethched on over 1,000 sq.m.. According to different estimates its population is from 12 million to 15 million people. Moscow ranks among the first ten biggest megalopolises of the world.

Moscow is a cultural and scientific center of global significance. This city an important tourist center of Russia. Moscow Kremlin, Red Square, Novodevichy Convent and the Church of Ascension in Kolomenskoye are included in UNESCO's World Heritage List.
World-famous unique places and buildings can be distinguished among the numerous sights of the city. Without doubt, these are the Bolshoy Theater, Pushkin Museum of Fine Arts and the Tretyakov Gallery.
First of all you should visit Kremlin, the main symbol of the country. The first mention about this architectural ensemble dates back to 1156. That time Kremlin was called the Moscow Fortress.

Red Square, the witness of the most important historical events, is located in front of Kremlin's eastern wall.

The square is surrounded by three buildings: GUM (Main Department Store), the Museum of History and St. Basil's Cathedral.

The cathedral is a magnificent complex of several churches, it is one the most important architectural monuments.

The Museum of History is the largest museum of its kind, valuable historical artefacts are collected there. You will learn many interesting things about the country's development since ancient times by visiting the museum.
GUM's trade rows occupy a whole city block, it is a real catch for shopping fans!
Located on the east of Kremlin, China Town is considered to be one of the oldest historical districts in Moscow.

The capital's cultural life is rich and diverse. Moscow gathers all the best in itself. Millions of tourists come to see the unique architectural ensembles of the city, to get acquainted with the Russian cultural heritage carefully kept in Moscow museums, take part in numerous events and festivals which are held in the capital every year.
Tsaritsyno park, a protected area, is a vast territory with numerous architectural sights and unbelievably beautiful landscape.

Victory Park and Gorky Park are perfect areas for walking and doing sports. There is also a great dolphinarium where spectacular performances are held every day. Moscow planetarium offers exciting excursions and lectures for those who like unusual entertainments.
